no way dude, this dates back to like 1916. it's international so i woulda thought they at least aired it over there. and it's not a generic hot dog eating contest, it's sponsored by Nathan's which is this famous hot dog place in new york.

and i just read that they reduced the time limit from 12 to 10 minutes. so most likely no record, but that should make a little more competitive.
