Artists don't really compete, unless it's for sales, and that doesn't indicate quality. Also, Final Boss is/was the best at MLG, that doesn't mean they are the best at Halo, they excel in the conditions they play in, just like well, genre's. Perhaps they might excel with time and practice at other gametypes and rules, but just because MLG says their rules are most competitive doesn't mean Bungie isn't any less wrong in saying BTB is most competitive.

You once again bring in the Genre thing, which I just don't understand, you state yourself that what is "good" in each genre is different, but you still called the bands we posted, some of which are considered excellent by that genre's standards, bad. You came into this thread arguing that all the bands we posted were terrible, and yet they obviously pertain to what Austin is looking for, and are good in his, and the genre's, eyes, and it was obvious from his selection provided he was asking for a blend of nu-metal/emo/grunge

You took my example of FB way out of context. You said FB is only good at the MLG game (genre) but there skills dont do much for other game types such as big team. Same like the dark atmosphere in black metal doesn't help in lets say surf rock... Some musicians are better at writing black metal music than others and shouldn't be compared to bands like the Beach Boys but musically I think you can agree that bands like Naked City (like them or not) are just better than bands like the Jonas Brothers.

"...considered excellent by that genre's standards." Austin posted bands like 30 Seconds to Mars and Panic At The Disco. Are you telling me the best to come out of alternative rock is that?

If someone asked me to show them a good melodic death band In Flames would never he pop in my head.

Only because a band is popular doesn't make it good.

I'm sure no one was wondering why you said sigh and I'm sure you said sigh because you were wrong.
