week old threads

I saw a thread from a few weeks back about using the pen tool in CS2. I had a question about the pen tool myself, and instead of make a new thread I just asked my question in the old thread. then kossack(<?) replied by saying something like "dont try to revive week old threads" and closed it before my question had the chance to be answered.

NOW FOR THE QUESTION

What is the problem with what I did??? Ive seen forums where people get flamed for starting new threads about old topics that already have their own threads. So does this forum work differently? Do you want 500 small threads on the same topic, or 1 good thread on a topic?

i thought it was two weeks or older that u werent allowed to post in?but w/e i just avoid those things and make a new one
