Can we either get the '1-post-being-able-to-view-while-not-signed-in' feature turned off or the inactivity sign-out shit disabled?
Because I hate being signed out after 15 minutes of not posting, trying to view a thread, and then getting some shit about not being able to view any more posts.

I don't get signed out, ever. Not sure why you would. Our cookie timeouts are set for 1 hour.

I have heard of it happening to people, I think it used to happen to Syko. He used to use firefox 1.5. I think it quit happening when he went to 2.x. What version are you running? Can you try and see if it happens with ie6/7? I use ie7 and it never happens to me. My firefox (I rarely use it) doesn't do it either. I am using 2.x.

I'm using the newest verion, it actually just updated from 2-something to higher the other day. I'll try with IE and see what happens.
