when mine slowed down i got the 3 red lights. so i just did the towel trick. i will try this if it ever happens again.

Duh...it's an official xbox thing. If it wasn't safe it wouldn't be on it.

All it does is remove updates. thats it. everything stays untouched.

But that is windows, not the xbox OS...

Guys if you Xbox is freezing and you spend 3 hours of your life on the phone to Xbox, They will tell you to clear the memory cache.

It an official process implemented in the Spring Update.
