I open PS, click File, New, choose dimensions and shit and when I hit Ok nothing comes up. No palette, nothing. It used to be fine like a week ago and it just stopped working.

Hmm. Have you installed any recent windows updates? If so Windows Genuine wont allow you to start any documents because your photoshop is pirated.

Happened to me before. Pretty much nothing you can do about it except reformat your HD and start everything from scratch.

That could be it...I installed an update that was suppsoed to have Paint in it b/c I don't have it, and I guess that's what's stopping me. That really sucks balls. Oh well, I guess I'll have to use GIMP from now on

I'm guessing because its made by microsoft that it just ignores it. You could try and delete the update that you had, that might work.
