Default Proper CnC

CnC. What is it and how is it used? CnC stands for Comments and Criticism or any variation starting with "C" (ie. Critique.)

Using CnC

The most common form of CnC you'll find is someone CnCing a signature tag. Seeing as this site isn't that big on Graphics you'll find many people who don't sincerely know how to CnC. CnC can be broken down into many parts, here are some common ones:
Lighting
Blending
Text
Background Composition
Depth
and many others...

Proper CnC Format

When CnCing someone's piece try to critique the parts that need work. Such comments as "OMGRAPE DOOOD I LOVE THE BORDER" is not CnC. That's just a compliment. When someone asks for CnC they (hopefully) want to learn and get better. Posting a comment such as the one above does neither. If a piece is lacking something mentioned above explain that and tell them how they can make it better.

If someone asks for CnC try to actually make an attempt to leave CnC. Remember, everyone has to accept CnC in their thread, but not everyone has to respect it.

Explanation:

'[ACE] - Advanced Critique Encouraged'
This is mainly for people who are new to GFX but also for anyone who worked really hard on a piece and would like more advanced critique. Use this prefix to show that you would like thought-out comments on how you can improve your work.

'[CW] - Critique Welcome'
This should be most commonly used. This is for experienced designers or people who don't mind whether someone gives simple statements about their work or advanced critique.

'[CD] - Critique Discouraged'
This is for people who have worked so long on a piece that they're definetely satisfied with it. In this case, the piece is done and you don't want to change it, so you don't really want comments on how to improve it etc.
