1st one is a bit to simple as Hero said but the second one I actually like. It's very good just a little to bright, tone down the brightness and it will be fine

The first one reminds me back to the days I started doing GFX, idk..plain but it has this retro feel to it.
The second one is different..I sorta like that grungy look you were going for.

Pro-tip: Use tutorials, they'll help you A LOT and will eventually get you up to a level of greatness.

yea thanks. I know that the first one is very plain. How do i spice it up but still keep the retro basic looking feel? I cant think of anything else to add?

The first one is a little plain, But inside the text you have the color that is way brighter then the Backround. Just doesn't appeal to me..

Second is nice, Text is bad though. And tone down the brightness so it doesn't look so light.

Instead of just adding the symbol and adding a bevel on it, experiment with the blending options. Maybe give it and outer glow, add a flower pattern over it (pattern overlay..be sure to lower opacity to make sure you still see the symbol), experiment with the depth of the bevel and other bevels.

And an other thing to do is add a glow/glassy feel to it:
Make a new layer, get our your elliptical marquee tool and make a selection going from the top right (don't worry if parts are out of your canvas) to the top left, you will now have a selection (and if it went right) and about a half of an oval is over your sig and the rest is out of the canvas..then go to edit > fill or press shift+F5 and make sure it's on color and make the color white, then press okay. It now looks like a big white half oval..which looks crappy so lets change that. You see down at your layers pallete? (the part in the bottom right where you layers are displayed) At the top left of that little screen should be the word [Normal] and it should have a little drop down menu, change it to soft light, now it becomes transparent which looks a bit better but to go for a better look, get your eraser tool, pick a soft brush (where the edges are faded/fading) and make sure it's like 65 PX or something like that, now softly erase around the edge to get a faded look on your glow.

If all worked out..it would look pretty sexy and still retro.
