If you don't have a capture card, but you've been looking to put some of your H3 clips onto the gameroom or even to make a montage of them there is now a great solution. GameVee Formarly known as GeeVee, GameVee.com has a feature where it will grab a video off of your fileshare and upload it to their website so it can be watched online. This feature first appeared a few months ago, but it was slow and not worth the wait, it then disappeared while GameVee underwent some updates, and it has now reemerged. The GameVee grab feature can now get your fileshare clips onto the web in a manner of minutes. This is what happens in short. You upload the video from your fileshare, download the video off of GameVee to your computer, then either upload to the GameRoom or convert the file so you can watch it on your computer and/or edit it 1. All you have to do is register on their site and log in 2. Then go to more features... on the top of the website 3. You will now have the option to click: Grab, Highlight, and Facebook.... select Grab 4. Enter your XBL gamertag 5. Enter the name of your film exactly as it appears on your fileshare (it MUST be on your fileshare) 6. Enter a name for your video, a short description, tags, and place it in a category 7. Now click the Grab! button at the bottom of the page Once the video is uploaded you will receive an email to the email account that you registered with, which will contain a link to your newly uploaded video: Example Downloading the video through Firefox 1. If you have firefox, then procede to step 2, if you do not have FireFox, then download it (there is no reason now to, it is more customizable, safer, and faster than most internet browsers) 2. Install the add-on DownloadHelper 3. Once you restart firefox, download helper will add an icon next to your home icon and browser bar that looks like this ![]() 4. Go to the page on GameVee which contains your video and click on the dropdown arrow to the right of the download helper icon. Only one thing should show up after you click, about 6 numbers followed by .mp4 example: 235323.mp4 5. Click on it and you will get a popup asking if you want to save it. Save it to your computer in a place you can find it. Downloading video through Internet Explorer I still recommended that you get firefox, it makes it much faster if you will be uploading a lot of clips, and it is less prone to spyware than IE 1: You have already uploaded your video from your fileshare 2: View your video and look at the url, you should see something like this: GameVee - Share Yours 3: Copy those last numbers 533186 Here is the tricky part. The link below will be the link to the file you can download and then convert NAME.gamevee.com/video/##/NUMBER.mp4 NUMBER is the number you copied from the origional url. In this case 533186 ## is the third to last and second to last digits in that number, in this case 18 (if your number is 138043 your ## would simply be 4) NAME is the part that I am not positive about. Name corresponds to one of the following (mario, luigi, bowser). After quite a bit of testing it appears that it in fact does NOT matter, just pick one of them and use that as your name. (I downloaded one of my videos through each of them and got the same thing each time) Enter the data and you should now have something that looks like this: http://mario.gamevee.com/video/18/533186.mp4 Simply past that into your Internet explorer bar and you should be prompted to download the file. Converting the video You can upload the mp4 directly to the GameRoom but if you want to view the video on your computer or edit it you will probably need to convert the file type 1. Go to Media Convert You will see a browse button in the center of the page, click it and select the .mp4 file which you just downloaded. 2. You will get a message saying File extension can correspond to more than 1 format. Please select the exact input format 3. To the right of the browse button you will see a drop down menu which is currently saying MPEG advanced audio coding (.mp4), click on the dropdown menu and scroll up to the MOVIE category and select MPEG-4 (.mp4) 4. Now underneath the browse button there is another dropdown menu that says Output format 5. Click the dropdown bar and select either WINDOWS or MAC (respectfully), if you select WINDOWS, the bar to the right will show Audio Video Interleave (.avi), do not change that 6. Now to the right of that, click OK and wait for it to be processed' 7. After it is finished you will have the option to download it to your computer, from there you can post it inGameRoom or make a montage of it Make sure to leave the GameVee watermark in the bottom right corner of your clip or montage because it is a very nice piece of software that allows us to easily get our videos off our fileshare and onto the internet, so show them some respect for that. When you are all done you should end up with something like this: From MLGpro.com :: Link If I hadn't seen such riches...
