Ok guys, as you wished we have the weekly interviews back. Now here is a long and enjoyable interview of our very own BigSick.


Welcome to the HoC interview BigSick

Thanks for having me

Q. No problem, well to get things started off, what is your full name?

A. Zach Grant Chiovaro

Q. Ok, never heard the middle name Grant but moving on... what's your current age/occupation?
A. I'm a 23 year old full time college student. I don't currently have a job, but will be starting the hunt soon
Q. Well that's good, where do you live currently?
A. Currently I live in Athens, Georgia where I attend UGA but will be moving to Atlanta and finishing college at Georgia State in August
Q. Cool, now how about you tell me how you found HoC, or who introduced you to it?

A. Honestly I cannot remember at all. I either ran into someone in MM who was in the old school hal0wnage com clan or found it in google while searching for halo montages

Q. Hmm, seems like you find things the hard way, on to the next question now, what's your favorite part of the HoC forum?The Halo:CE section, Gfx section, Editing section, etc.
A. I'd like to say the H:CE section but not much is really going on there, so I'd have to say either the water cooler or general halo videos. Just depends if I'm looking for some videos of fellow HoCer's getting owned or that funny new vid floating around youtube

Q. Yeah, I like the videos section as well, and water cooler is pretty funny, but I don't go in there to much, so next question, what makes you like HoC the most? Community, players, tournies, etc
A. I started off as a h3f kid but the overwhelming size and immaturity of its members really turned me away from it. I like that HoC has a smaller, more closely knitted community who are always willing to run games and help out. My Friend's list is slammed full on HoCers now and its just easy to get solid games any time of day.
R. Very nice, I play with you sometimes on XBL, and your a chill guy to play with

R. why thank you
Q. No problem, so next, what was your original GT? Go as far back as you can remember
A. before halo my first love was texas hold'em and i used to play daily. I mean i made so much money off of it I never had to get a job in college. Anyways as you may or may not know AceKing is called Big Slick in holdem. Well one night I won around a $175 pot or so with it and was super excited. Once the game ended and a lot of beers deep I went to tell my friend how the night went. Well my drunk ass kept saying BigSick, BigSick, BigSick and the nickname kinda stuck. Started playing halo about 1 month later and it was my nickname at the time

R. Hmm, shorter answers aren't your thing I see, but I used to be a big hold em man myself, than I started playing halo as well
R. i'm a talker

Q. Ok well next, what got you interested in the halo series
A. My sophmore I lived in an apartment complex where my roommate and like 6 of my other friends would LAN h1 all night almost every night and I was getting bored of having nothing to do
Q. Yeah, I got into halo from my friends as well, but moving on, do you have any hobbies that you like to do besides play halo?

A. I like to play tennis, golf, beer pong and pretty much stay up all night every night and lounge by the pool all day. I used to play hockey for my college until I blew my knee and haven't been on my skates in over a year now
R. That really sucks, sorry, were you really good at it?
R. captain of my high school team junior and senior year and only played 1 year of college
Q. Looks like you liked it a lot, to bad for your injury, would you say that was your best sport? Or are you better at another sport?

A. Hockey was bar far my best sport. From about 7 grade till freshman year of college of was playing every single day. My travel team took me all over the nation with some of my best friends, some of my best years
Q. Sounds like you had a very good time playing hockey, moving along in this interview, have an imberrasing moments you would like to tell us?
i remember once when I first started drinking in high school I was with a group of friends walking around the neighborhood drinking beers I had stolen from my parents. Well I end up getting absolutely housed and decide to pee in the middle of the street. I see a car coming and it stops right in front of me while I've got my guy out peeing in the street. I yell at the car to get the fuck out of the way and if they like the view. Well the car decided to drive around me, well atleast this is what I thought. The car stopped next to me, rolled down the window and I hear my mom's voice say get in the fucking car right now
R. in front of all my friends. oppsy
R. but underage drinking is bad and no one should do it
R. Lmfao, well, that is truly embarrasing, if my mom found me doing that she would kill me, my dad would probably laugh though

Q. Well going on, what other games do you play besides Halo and Halo 2?

A. halo 1 and 2 are the only games I own. Sometimes when i'm bored I'll play Twisted System in the Fuzion Frenzy demo. I used to play the hell out of starcraft and I am very excited about SC2 coming out
R. Starcraft was a fun game, I used to always cheat in it though
R. i used to hate you bastards. Luckily I played it back in the day when I was too computer illiterate to cheat. But I will own anyone on Lost Temple
Q. Ok, so what is your favorite movie?
A. I like all types of movies, but some of my favorites are Good Will Hunting, House of Flying Daggers, The Life Aquatic, Primer, Good Fellas, and America Beauty

R. I can safely say I have never seen 1 movie on that list
R. oh come-on brotha they are all amazing

R. i highly suggest them to anyone
Q. Maybe I'll watch one, don't count on it though, but moving on, again, what's your favorite song, or band?
A. used to be OBSESSED with dave matthews band, I think this Sept will be my 14th concert. Right now though I'm really big in Chevelle, Incubus, Cartel, Postal Service, Tool, and Red Hot Chili Peppers, can't forget them
Q. Dave Mathews Band lmfao, sorry just a funny name, but what is your favorite food?
A. I think I could live the rest of my life eating chips & salsa and spaghetti with meat sauce
R. don't hate on dave either. Hell my first fake ID i made my name Dave Matthews LMAO
R. Lol, wow
R. i don't know what's funnier that or it actually worked at bars/gas stations and at the bar backstage of the dave matthews concert
Q. Interesting lol, well now how about you tell us about what career you want to pursue when you get out of college
A. I have so many things I want to do when I get out of college. I'll be graduating with my undergrad in Computer Science, but honestly I'm not exactly sure what I want to do with it. I'm considering going to the Art Institute to study video editing/production once I graduate so I might be in school for a hell of lot longer. I'm a bit of a foodsie person and my best friend is an extremely gifted cook and we have plans to open a resturante together in about 4 yeas. So honestly I'm not sure what I'll be doing, but i know I'll be happy

R. Sounds like you have a lot of things that you like to do, and good luck with video production, it's hard to learn but you get the hand of it, and it's very fun when your not doing it because you have to do it, but you do it because it's fun to do
R. exactly, i will never have a job I don't love. If I'm not happy with what I'm doing, i'll leave
R. That's what I would do, but now it's time to begin the rapid fire round!

Interesting but it feels like it misses something, you didn't play in on his answer, it was continuously "Moving on, again" etc., the whole interview just didn't bind together. The questions were too much apart from each other.

That's tooo long IMO, and nothing was really exciting there (no offense bigick).
