HoC H3 1v1 Tournament

The HoC Tournament Staff has decided that for HoC's next Halo 3 Tourney we will do a 1v1 tournament. As some of you know, the previous 2v2 tourney had some complications, and delays, but for the most part it went all right. This time, all the tourney staff will be accesible, so all is good.

Rounds 1 and 2 of the HoC H3 1v1 Tournament will take place on Thursday, January 24th at 7 PM EST/6 PM CST/4 PM PST

Rounds 3, 4 and 5 of the HoC H3 1v1 Tournament will take place on Friday January 25th at 7 PM EST/6 PM CST/4 PM PST

This will be a 32 man, single elimination tournament. All rounds will be a best 2/3 series.

Round 1: 32 Players, 16 best 2/3 series, winners advance
Round 2: 16 Players, 8 best 2/3 series, winners advance
Round 3: 8 Players, 4 best 2/3 series, winners advance
Round 4: 4 Players, 2 best 2/3 series, winners advance
Round 5: 2 Players, 1 best 2/3 series, winner wins

The following are the rules for the tournament. The games will all be slayer and will be played on Guardian.

Suicide Penalty: On
Motion Sensor: On
Respawn Time Modifier: None
Starting Weapon: Battle Rifle
Secondary Weapon: None
Weapon Respawn Time: Normal
Round Time Limit: 20 Minutes
Score to Win Round: 15
Weapons on Map: Rifles(BRs and Carbines, 1 Sniper at top snipe tower)

Players will be seeded 1-32 in a 100% random names drawings, no preliminary factors/placings will be considered.

The higher seeded player will get host for game 1, the lower seeded player gets host for game 2, and whichever player has the most combined kills from the previous two games, will get host for game 3. If the two players previous games kills are the same, then we will judge by whoever had least deaths will host game 3, etc.

Once again, the Tournament Staff will be choosing the players which will compete in this tournament. Players that have achieved HoC Pro status are guaranteed spots in the tournament. Other spots in the tournament will be based upon activity on HoC, Xbox Live, and the previous tournaments. If you are not picked, there will be substitute players, so don't fret. Every substitute who got on for the previous tournaments was able to participate, so don't think that being a sub means that you are not in the tournament.

The entry fee for the January H3 1v1 Tournament is free, but the prizes will once again be cash. Due to the finacial situation that has been explained in the January site updates, the overall tourney pot will be $50

2nd place: $15
3rd place: $10
Best Clip Prize: $10

The Tournament Staff has decided to give you guys an additional chance at winning some cash. All you will need to do is record your games and any player that thinks they have a really good SINGLE KILL clip, can upload their clip to Mythica.org and PM ME WITH YOUR LINKS, OR just cut that clip in your theatre and, upload it to your fileshare, and PM ME THE LINK TO YOUR FILESHARE. There will be a "Best clip of the tourney" thread up just following the conclusion of the 1v1 tourney, and people will get to vote for whichever clip they feel was truly the best clip of the tourney.
