This tournament will be very, very different from the 2v2 tournament, in that this tourney will be more slow paced, and obviously take longer, because it is such an intricate tournament.


This will be a 16 team, single elimination tournament. All rounds will be a best 2/3 series.With the Championship round being best 3/5 series.

Round 1: 16 teams, 8 best 2/3 series, winners advance
Round 2: 8 teams, 4 best 2/3 series, winners advance
Round 3: 4 teams, 2 best 2/3 series, winners advance
Round 4: 2 teams, 1 best 3/5 series, winner wins

The following are the rules for the tournament. The games will be MLG gametypes for both Slayer and Objective gametypes, and will be held on warlock, midship, Lockout and Sanctuary.

Team Ball
1. Score to Win Round = 5 Minutes
2. Round Time Limit = 15 Minutes
3. Weapons on Map = No Duals

CTF Classic Sanctuary
1. Round Time Limit = 30 Minutes
2. Flag at Home to Score = Off
3. Flag Touch Return = Off
4. Flag Reset Time = 10 Seconds
5. Flag Indicator = Off

CTF Classic Midship & Warlock
1. Score to Win Round = 5
2. Round Time Limit = 30 Minutes
3. Flag Reset Time = 15 Seconds
4. Flag Indicator = Off
5. Weapons on Map = No Duals

Teams will be seeded 1-8 in order of placings in the July 2v2 Tournament. If a team has 1 player who competed in the 2v2 Tournament, the players rank will determine his spot (i.e. If the 5th place finisher from the 2v2 tournament is teamed with a player(s) who did not compete in the FFA tournament, the team can be seeded at most 5th depending on whether or not the 1-4 finishers in the 2v2 tournament compete in the 4v4 tournament). If a team has 2 players who competed in the 2v2 tournament, their seed will be determined by the highest finisher in the 2v2 tournament. If a team has 0 players who competed in the 2v2 tournament, they will be seeding by their placing in the FFA tournament if they competed in the FFA tournament, if not, they will be seeded below teams with players who competed in the 2v2/FFA tournament.

Host will be given to the lower seeded team for game 1, higher seeded team for game 2, and lower seeded team for game 3.The higher seeded team gets to choose what game they want host on. Hosting for the Finals will be as follows:

Game 1:Higher seed hosts
Game 2:Lower seed hosts
Game 3:Higher seed hosts
Game 4: Lower seed hosts
Game 5-(if necessary) The team with the biggest margin of defeat from the previous games, will get host.
Once again, the Tournament Staff will be choosing the teams which will compete in this tournament. Teams with player who have achieved HoC Pro status are guaranteed spots in the tournament. Other spots in the tournament will be based upon activity on HoC, Xbox Live, and the previous tournaments. If you are not picked, there will be substitute teams, so don't fret. Every substitute who got on for the FFA/2v2 tournaments was able to participate, so don't think that being a sub means that you are not in the tournament.

The entry fee for the August 4v4 Tournament is free, but the prizes will once again be cash:

In order for your team to participate in the 4v4 tournament every team member must be a registered member on Halownage.com and at least ONE member from the team must be an active member on Halownage.com(at least 20 posts, and at least 10% activity, before the start of the tourney.) Every team member must reply in this thread confirming they are apart of the team and to acknowledge all of the 4v4 tournament rules and information. Looks alot balanced but i dont see this tourney gettin 16 teams with Hoc members with at least 20 posts, and at least 20% activity, before the start of the tourney.

Same here. I thought 1 was plenty, and it's only for the fact that the team will remember about the tourney. Oh well though, we might get more active members.
