Times and Dates
Rounds 1 and 2 of the HoC H3 2v2 Tournament will take place on Friday November 9th at 8pm EST/7pm CST/5pm PST.

Rounds 3, 4 and 5 of the HoC H3 2v2 Tournament will take place on Saturday, November 10th at 8pm EST/7pm CST/5pm PST.


Tournament Style
This will be a 32-team tournament, single elimination. All rounds will be a best 2/3 series.

Round 1: 32 Teams, 16 best 2/3 series, winners advance
Round 2: 16 Teams, 8 best 2/3 series, winners advance
Round 3: 8 Teams, 4 best 2/3 series, winners advance
Round 4: 4 Teams, 2 best 2/3 series, winners advance
Round 5: 2 Teams, 1 best 2/3 series, winner wins

All gametypes will be SLAYER.

Suicide penalty: On
Motion sensor: off
Team changing: off
Respawn time modifier: none
Betrayal penalty: none
Starting Weapon: Battle rifle
Weapon respawn time: Double time
Round Time limit: 15 minutes (20 minutes on narrows)
Score to win: 50
Weapons on map: Rifles

Gametypes for each round:

Round 1: Guardian, Construct, The Pit
Round 2: Construct, The Pit, Guardian
Round 3: The Pit, Guardian, Construct
Round 4: Construct, Guardian, The Pit
Round 5(Finals): Guardian, The Pit, Construct

Seeding
All seeding will be chosen at random, because we do not have any previous tournaments to base skill off of. After being discussed, this was chosen to be the best way because it is equally fair to everyone.

Host
Due to the new hosting system of Halo 3, host will be chosen by seeding, and will not be neutral.

Host will be given to the higher seeded team in game 1, Then lower seeded team in Game 2, then whichever team had the most combined kills in the first 2 games, will get host in game 3. If there is a tie in any game, the tourney staff will sort it out accordingly.

Choosing Players
Like previous tournaments, players will be chosen based off of activity on HoC. Due to this being the first tourney, other things do not factor in.

Entry Fee/Prizes
The entry fee for the October H3 2v2 tournament will be FREE, but the prizes will once again be CASH:

Prizes:
1st place: $60
2nd place: $30
3rd place: $10
