I don't think we've had this thread before but it's always fun so. I like talking about films so I'll write a bit about it, but you don't have to if you don't want.

The Fall - 8/10

This is a visually stunning film, really, it's one of the most beautiful films I've ever seen. It's a fantasy film that uses a little girls imagination to bring the story to life, and it does it really well - the intertwining of the fantasy world and the real world is done very well. The acting was also very good - I'd never heard of any of the cast but they were surprisingly good. From the reviews I've read they said the ending is quite depressing and I can see where they're coming from, but it wasn't really that sad to me. It was still a good ending though.

Tropic Thunder

Incredibly funny film. Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr and Jack Black have provided brilliant performances, Robert in particular, in a incredibly snide look at the film industry within the states. The film focuses on egocentric stars trapped within the jungle whilst being chased by a large drug cartel, some struggling to come to grips with the reality of their situation, and their dying careers. The film contains some wonderfully moments, most of which are very much tongue in cheek, and Robert Downey's performances makes this film. Truly enjoyable film.
