Traditional Canadian province would probably be the maritime provinces, like Newfoundland, where the accent that all Canadians are stereotyped with actually is used. However, you probably don't wanna go there, shortage of jobs + rain, rain, and more rain

Prairie Provinces are flat, and Alberta is the richest of all the provinces because of the abundance of oil, and where most of America's oil comes from, so if you have to live in the prairies, you'll want Alberta, 2 major cities are Calgary and Edmonton, most people I've talked with seem to prefer Calgary, but I don't know about that personally. I do think the living costs in Calgary are pretty steep however

My dad is a general foreman for a similar firm, and he knows a lot of people that he could call he said, but I'd still like to try to get directly a hold of them.

My dad knows a guy that had a truck and his own welding machine and they came down with a helicopter and picked him and his truck up and flew him all the way up there.
