History
The 340th ODST Battalion was originally a training battalion to provide realistic operational testing for new and modified weapons systems, such as the MJOLNIR Mark VI Powered Assault Armor. After that, they were deployed as a private fighting force for the UNSC. Taking direct commands from UNSC High Command, they have preformed many strikes against the covenant in all scenarios, they have enacted missions against insurrectionists on Tribute of the Epsilon Eridani System and Planet Victoria of the Tauri System.
