It has come to our attention that a few of the members on the site have been abusing the privilege of having a chatbox here on the homepage. And I can assure you that these problems WILL come to an end.

We are establishing a set of rules for the chatbox as a result. And furthermore will be watching what is being said much more closely. As well as letting the other moderators to do the same.

The chatbox is an extension of the site, and the same rules apply. Absolutely NO flaming will be tolerated at any given point. And harassing other members is strictly prohibited.

Simple fact is, don't post anything in the chatbox that you wouldn't post on the site.

If you are caught breaking any of these rules you will receive a warning via PM or IM, second will be a 1 day ban from Halownage, 3rd will be a 3 day ban.

Keep in mind that Regularship does not grant permission to flame, harass, or downgrade another member, and that being a regular is a privilege, not a right, and can be taken away as easily as it was given, if you so choose to be a problem.

Sorry I just think it's stupid how you have been so quick to clamber on your high horse in this situation. There has been plenty of other times we members have literally ripped someone a new one where I actually wince reading it, yet this time when they were just being complete retards, rather than saying stuff that was actually hurtful and intelligent. Any half wit would just shrug off what they were saying.

When the smart arse's write essays breaking down why someone sucks in explicit detail, the posts just get deleted. There's no massive drama around it.

You are obviously missing the point here. I will sum it up...

There is no word a guy can say to a guy that has the same ramifications of calling a girl a whore. Then not just doing it, rambling a few incoherent lines, and dropping it. It went on and on and on and on and on. A specfic attempt to degrade her. It's not like they just happen to tag team rag on her, it was planned. So if you don't see the point here then maybe treating women (girls for most of you kids) with respect isn't something you understand.

Did this situation get treated differently? Maybe. However I cannnot think of any situation that relates to what happened. If a similar situation would have happened to someone that didn't provoke it the outcome would have been the same. For example. If someone harassed a new member. It pisses me off just as bad.
