The only difference between this and a staph infection is the rate at which it decays. The medics thought that it was a staph infection the first few days, but it became about 2.5" across rather quickly. He ended up having to be sent back to the states to get better care for it, since it spread so quickly.

The camel spiders aren't everywhere you look, but they are quite common. They don't generally mess with you unless you mess with them. Some people do get bitten in their sleep though, like TJ did.
