Well it's a new year and I figured I would copy and paste my old updates since not a whole lot has changed. The posting trend has started to get slightly better as we have newer members join and we get control of the spamming and flaming.

The chatbox seems to be a huge success and it has *I think* helped centralize alot of the spam yet let everyone communicate easily.

We have been working behind the scenes, with a little success, on what we can do with our ongoing activity, user interest, contests *or lack there of* and just things in general. I have changed how I intend to handle roles and responsibilities of the mod staff that should really help things.

My intent is and continues to be to get the mod staff actively in control of certain events and activities. I plan on have a more active HoC Interview, Tournaments, CoTM, Arcade Contests, vBookies, and the true key to this is to get much much better at providing threads on Halo News. We have always lacked proper news and we have tried a few different ways to get this going.

There has been alot of discussion between Paul and I and in the next few months there is going to be a halt to all the cash contests while we save up some extra money for some behind the scene site upgrades. This will be a 1-3 month process. I plan to continue all of the current contests/activities they just won't be for a cash prize (outside of the payment for the current COTM). This is a temporary thing and the prizes will continue once we have made the necessary structural upgrades.

As you know our beloved SYKO made a guest appearance. I hope everyone that knows him enjoyed the time with him while he was back in the states.

I am still looking for a hard core Halo 3 player that is into the scene and is willing to work on Halo related news. Several of you had semi applied for this position before. It is still open. Feel free to pitch your sale to me if you are interested.

I don't have much more to say, you have heard most of this before. As always feel free to give your feedback on where you think the site is and where the site is going.

Congrats to NiT3ViSioN, LordDraco, Maverick and Ra... wait a second... anyways I wouldn't mind seeing cash go towards upgrades rather than contests mostly because I don't partcipate in the contests. I hope we can get some new members soon.

I would like to take the time to recommend you make it a 6 month process then do a summer montage contest.

The best person IMO for the halo news thing would be someone who always find stuff around the internet. Or just bring back the halo news bot, don't let it gain posts by posting threads in it's forums.
