Flaming, Spamming, Special Treatment, etc.

As you know I have been working on this behind the scenes. We have discussed many different methods to try and correct this problem.

The only way it seems we are going to be able to fix this is to go back to the basics. I call it the Syko Method. I will yell and scream and bitch at the mods until they enforce the below (effective immediately):

Spamming:

Spamming will not be tolerated at all in any area. We need to keep the forums cleaner and more appealing.

1st incident of spamming. Your post will be deleted and you will be warned.

2nd incident of spamming. Your post will be deleted and you will get a 2nd warning.

3rd incident of spamming. Your post will be deleted and you will be banned for 1 day.

Repeat occurences will be handled in the following manner:

1st repeat incident. Your post will be deleted and you will be warned.

2nd repeat incident. Your post will be deleted and you will be banned for 3 days.

Repeat Repeat (repeat?) Occurences will be handled in the following manner:

1st repeat repeat incident. You will be banned for 7 days.

At this point every incident afterwards will result in longer and longer bans.

Flaming:

Flaming will follow the same set of rules and guidelines except for the following exceptions:

Flaming (to an extent, don't go overboard) is allowed in the water cooler section.

Flaming (back and forth arguments/debates of a competitive trash talking nature) are allowed in the call outs section.

**Certain cases of extreme flaming will result in an instant 3 day ban. Ie. Racist Remarks or Posting Porn.**

I know that special treatment is also an issue, this goes for friends of mods, top posters, etc. Syko wouldn't put up with this shit from you guys so we shouldn't either. We have been extra lenient because we were stupid and thought that if we were as strict on the top posters as we should be that activity would suffer and the forum would be worse. That was our own ignorance. I believe that if we are more strict, and have a more pleasant forum that in the beginning the activity may suffer but in the long run it would turn out much much better.

EDIT:

If you spam or flame in this thread you will be considered to be testing the new rules and will be banned.
